The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shivraj Chouhan, has announced the Laadli Laxmi Yojana. Prior to this, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched several schemes for women and sisters. What is the Laadli Behna Yojana?
As per the announcement by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, all sisters in the state of Madhya Pradesh will be eligible for the Laadli Behna Yojana, regardless of whether their families pay income tax. Under this scheme, all sisters in Madhya Pradesh will receive ₹1000 per month, or ₹12000 per year, directly deposited into their bank accounts. This will enable women to provide their children with proper nutrition, including good vegetables, fruits, and educational materials.
The application process for this scheme will be very easy, as stated by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the announcement. All mothers and sisters, whether from any social class or with low levels of literacy, can easily apply for this scheme. The registration process for the scheme will begin on March 8, 2023, which is International Women's Day. To celebrate this special day, Laadli Behna Yojana forms will be made available on this day.
To make the application process even more accessible, camps will be set up in villages and towns throughout the state where people can easily fill out the forms and take advantage of the scheme.
